Samburu National Reserve is one of the lesser-known national parks, but is nevertheless teeming with life. Situated alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River, there is plenty to attract wildlife from the surrounding savannah plains.

2 DAYS SAMBURU

Day 1: Nanyuki to Samburu

After breakfast, drive to Samburu Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive introduces you to this beautiful and game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy’s zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich slim-necked gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, and over 400 species of birds. Overnight at the Samburu fly camp.

Day 2: Samburu to Nanyuki

Leave after breakfast with game drive enroute and drive past the northern tip of the Mt. Kenya arriving in the evening to Nanyuki where trip ends.

3 DAYS SAMBURU

Day 1: Nanyuki to Samburu

After breakfast, drive to Samburu Game Reserve in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive introduces you to this beautiful and game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy’s zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. Overnight at the Samburu fly camp.

Day 2: Samburu

Spend the day exploring the reserve and its varied species of game. Besides spending time with many of the elephant families, guests will also see slim-necked gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Grevys zebra and over 400 species of birds. Enjoy early morning or evening bush walks along well-traveled elephant paths or collect medicinal plants while accompanied by the resident Samburu warriors. Overnight at the Samburu fly camp.

Day 3: Samburu to Nanyuki

Leave after breakfast with game drive enroute and drive past the northern tip of the mt Kenya to your next preferred destination arriving in the evening Nanyuki.
