Mount Kenya National Park
Mount Kenya is located in an area of Kenya where it’s possible to find snow-covered mountaintops as well as large cliffs and glaciers. In the same area, there are thick forests and cascading waterfalls. It is one of the few parks in the world where there are the alpine meadows as well as bamboo thickets and thick rain forests.
Mt Kenya is the highest mountain in Kenya and second highest in Africa at 5,199m.
It sits within a huge national park of over 276 sq miles, designated a UNESCO world heritage site in 1997.
Nanyuki and Kongoni camp provide an excellent base for exploring the beauties and wonders of this region, whether you enjoy driving, walking or mountain climbing.
