Wildlife in and around Laikipia
Kongoni Camp is set in a region which is rich in all kinds of wildlife, flora and fauna. Within a few kilometres visitors to Nanyuki can access many of Kenya’s amazing national parks and the Laikipia region is famous for not only the typical Zebra’s, Giraffes, Lions and Buffalo but also some rare species of wildlife such as the Reticulated Giraffe and Grevy Zebra. Laikipia is home to 7000 Elephants which is the 2nd largest population in Kenya after Tsavo.
